Stand Up For Pets – Bullying Unacceptable, Even For Animals

How we treat our pets mirrors how we treat others.  America’s Animal Communication Expert, Asia Voight shares her experience with Pet Bullying.

Recently, a female newscaster came on air to respond to an email she received criticizing her about her weight. Her response was, “No Bullying.” Our society is waking up to seeing the beauty in diversity and honoring everyone for who they are. Bullying, teasing and joking about another’s misfortune are no longer acceptable.

How does this relate to your pets? In this video segment, I talk about how people’s perceptions and responses to my healthy poodle Gracie can be very different from their perception of my differently-abled Maltese Pearl.

As an animal communicator, I know animals have feelings and sense energy. When you joke about your own, or someone else’s pet who may be overweight or have a physical challenge, the animal may not understand your verbal language, but they can feel the energy in your words and your expressions. I know my dog Pearl is upset when people make fun of her because she has only one eye, or they see her tongue hanging out.

BULLYING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE WHETHER THE RECIPIENT IS HUMAN OR ANIMAL!

The next time you see a differently-abled animal, remember to speak to them kindly and with respect. Praise the animal for their strengths and their beauty. The best way to teach your children to treat all creatures with kindness and respect is to be an example for them. When you stand up for your own pet, you are sending the message to your children that you will stand up for them.
